Quest Overview
Help the Jester find his lost marbles. Then explore the Mhoire Armory and find the Jester's markers. While there, defeat the Forge Golem to get a Spectral Ingot which is required to get a Spectral Weapon (ghost slayer).
The rewards for this quest are separated into 2 distinct parts. Each is on a distinct timer, so you can complete either one or both as desired. It is recommended to do this quest during the day as you need to be outside in the Graveyard. Lockpick is not required, but is very useful on this quest.
Walk Through
- [Optional] Talk to the Jester in the Graveyard at the south Summoning Stone (65.7S 43.8W). He has lost his marbles and asks you to find them.
- Note: You must talk to the Jester at the south summoning stone. The north summoning stone is for the Jester Focuses quest.
- Route: The south summoning stone is straight ahead from the Graveyard Recall bunker exit.
- Pick up the Jester's marbles on the ground on a cliff by the east side of the Graveyard. Go to 62.8S 45.1W to get up onto the cliffs, then follow the ledge around to 65.1S 43.7W and pick up the Jester's Marbles.
- Give the marbles to the Jester at the south summoning stone (65.7S 43.8W). This permanently flags you for the Mhoire Armory.
- The Jester will open a portal to the Mhoire Armory. Enter the portal.
- If you are repeating the quest, there is also a fixed location portal at 64.8S 44.3W inside a bunker. This same portal can be used to get back if you die, or miss the portal the Jester summons.
- The bunker is the southwest-most bunker in the 2 rows of bunkers. (It is across from the bunker used for the Lady Mhoire Quest.)
- If you are repeating the quest, there is also a fixed location portal at 64.8S 44.3W inside a bunker. This same portal can be used to get back if you die, or miss the portal the Jester summons.
- The dungeon is filled with dangerous ghosts, undead, and skeletons. The dungeon itself is symmetrical, with locked doors in similar places through the dungeon. The locked doors can be picked (330 difficulty) or opened using a key held by an Armory Captain (Ghost) at the top level of each wing. There are also doors near the bottom level which must be opened using a lever in a small room. See the map for more details.
- The dungeon is also special in that the normal penalty for death is altered. You will not drop items if you die in the dungeon. Note that you will also be sent to the lifestone if you log out while inside.
- Fighting is probably counterproductive, the ghosts are both high health and highly resistant. The Corrupted Maidens hit extremely hard but are slow moving, if you are running past them, as long as you avoid getting close they won't sticky melee and are too slow to catch up to you. "Stay healed and keep moving" is a good strategy.
Finding the Jesters Markers
- If you are completing the Jester's markers for an experience reward and title, you will need to visit most of the dungeon to find them all.
- The object is to find all ten markers. They look like small floating beach balls. As you use each marker, you will get a green message in your chat window that tells you how many you have gotten.
- There are 2 markers in the West Armory, 3 markers in the North Armory, 2 markers in the East Armory, 1 marker in the South Armory, and 2 markers in the Forge (bottom) area.
- Using the map, make your way throughout the dungeon getting the markers. Near the bottom are destroyable walls, knock them down to gain access to the other areas of the armory.
- Once you have the 8 markers in the upper area, use the altar in the center of the lower level to get to the forge area below.
- Get the final 2 markers in the forge area. Then proceed to the Forge Golem room or return to the Jester outside if you are not completing the other portion of the quest.
- When you use the 10th and final marker, a Jester's Marker will be put in your pack.
Getting a Spectral Weapon Ingot
- Proceed to the forge level of the armory by using the altar in the middle of the lowest level (if you have not done so already).
- From the forge level, take the south, north, or west path to get to the Forge Golem room. See the map for details.
- The Forge Golem is located in a larger room filled with skeletons. It is advisable to drag him out of the room and into a hallway to make it easier to kill him. He is weak to acid.
- Loot a Forge Vault Key from the corpse of the Forge Golem (drops 10?).
- After looting, take the north exit from the large Forge Golem room. If you are not clearing the room, you can run to the north until you reach the dead end, then deal with the few skeletons which follow.
- Use the Forge Vault Key to open the Forge Vault which is in a small room near the dead end room. The vault contains a Spectral Ingot, one or more Jester Cards, one or more Ancient Mhoire Coins, and other loot.
- [Optional] On the table in the last room is an attuned and bonded ToDo List. This list is a peculiar lore text, due to it being attuned and bonded. To date, no known NPC will take it. Instead it must be given to a Town Crier or Garbage Barrel.
- In the last room is Hurnmel the Smith. He sells Stamped Spectral Weapon Ingots in exchange for a Spectral Ingot. Choose your stamped ingot carefully, there is no way to sell it back if you buy the wrong one.
- The stamps are summoning gems which when used put a Spectral Weapon in your pack. The weapon will last 3 days and then expire. The weapon is also dropped on death. However it is possible to convert the weapon into a Soul Bound version that is permanent.
- To make the weapon permanent, apply a Spectral Binding Stone sold by a different Hurnmel the Smith in Graveyard for 15 Ancient Mhoire Coins. Hurnmel is located in the bunker at 65.4S 44.0W. He also sells the Graveyard Recall spell which drops you right next to him in the bunker.
- Hurnmel the Smith only appears at his location within the Graveyard at night.
- Important Note: Since the weapons expire in 3 days, it is highly recommended to already have purchased a Spectral Binding Stone prior to using the stamped ingot to get the weapon.
- Note: The Stamped Spectral Weapon Ingots are not attuned or bonded, and can be muled or traded until you have enough coins to make the weapon permanent.
Rewards
- If you completed the marker portion of the quest, give the Jester's Marker to the Jester at the southern summoning stone in the Graveyard for the title "Secret Keeper" and experience.

Lore & Dialog
Jester tells you, "I'm just a fool after all. I'm here to dance, joke and sing. I'm here to distract you from what's re*grk*"
The Jester clutches his mouth and begins to laugh uncontrollably.
Jester tells you, "I lost my marbles yesterday... I'm always losing them."
Jester tells you, "If you happen upon my marbles could you please return them to me?"
Jester tells you, "I don't think I was very far from here."
You give Jester Jester's Marbles.
Jester tells you, "Hey! You found my marbles!"
The Jester holds the sack of marbles lovingly.
Jester says, "I missed you guys."
The Jester looks up at you and quickly stashes his marbles away. He then points down at the ground in front of you. As soon as you look at the place he is pointing to he smacks you in the head with a stamp reading "Marble Wrangler."
Jester tells you, "First you help me escape from that horrible prison. And now you found my marbles! You're trying to get on my good side aren't you?"
Jester tells you, "Perhaps you have time for a little test? I promise it won't hurt."
Jester tells you, "Of course excruciating pain or death aren't really something I understand to well anymore... I'm sure it will be fine."
The Jester summons a portal to the Mhoire Armory.
Jester tells you, "Somewhere through that portal you will find ten markers I've placed around. Simply touch every marker and return the final marker to me to complete the test."
Jester tells you, "I'm sure a job well done will be payment enough, but perhaps you might find something of value in the armory. And I may tell you a secret if you like."
<Player> strikes the final blow and the Forge Golem crumbles. Bits of ghostly blue metal can be seen in it's remains.
You found all of the Jester's Markers.
A marker appears in your pack.
You give Jester Jester's Marker.
Jester tells you, "Hooray! You pass the test!"
Then the Jester says something so horrible your mind refuses to grasp it's meaning. A memory of ageless horrors fills your mind.
You've earned 131,565,000 experience. (Level 202, 275)
You are awarded the Title "Secret Keeper".
Jester tells you, "Now, I'm going to tell you a secret."
The Jester leans in close. You smell his sickly sweet breath.
Jester tells you, "The Blighted Dreamer is almost awake. His children walk the land. His eyes are everywhere."
After completing the quest and handing marbles again:
Jester tells you, "You already have access to the armory if you feel like bugging the Smith. He used to love practical jokes! Or was that me? Anyway he's loads of fun!"
Jester tells you, "I summoned a portal to the armory in one of the crypts here in the Graveyard. I'm sure you can find it."
Trying to use a marker after completing the quest:
You have completed the Jester's Test.
