12/16/2024 - Story Arc Update

With the destruction of two territory controller golems, most of Osteth's lifestones have been drained of their energy and adventurers can no longer bind to them. No lifestones indoors have yet been affected.

Good job locating the 2nd. We were watching the sleuthwork and have to say, we're proud of you folks! The third (Direlands) controller will be a tougher challenge, though with better rewards.

There was a curious "Warning from Nerash" parchment found at the site of the Southern Territory Controller... the text:
Did you miss me Asheron? Did you think I would remain dead? While I admire what you've done with the place, your vision is, sadly, limited. Why haven't you taught these little creatures the potential magic that exists within these ley lines? Why do you hold back?"

"It took incredible energy to reanimate both body and spirit, but here I am. It's time to finish the job. Oh, and your previous lifestones? Soon all of the mana flowing through the ley lines will course through my veins! Notes:

• Controller golems have dropped gems that apply a "Golem Slayer" property on weapons. Be careful, if applied to a weapon that already has a slayer effect, it will be overwritten.
• A new NPC has found his way to Celdiseth's Lab. The Potent Gem dude. Check him out!
• A lot of updates to the armor/clothing and weapon gem recipes. If you have an item that ought to work but doesn't, please let us know. Also note that these gems SET the values, no math is done if there is an existing value, and it overwrites.
• Golem Slayers now display the material type to avoid the "Undef" name.
• Loafers are considered clothing but occupy an armor slot. Go figure.
