Prerequisites
  • You must have done the Black Death Catacombs Quiddity Seed Quest Quest before doing this quest in order to have the Quiddity Ingot (BDC) you need for this quest. The Black Death Catacombs Ingot is the one that says it "glows with a bluish light" in its description. You must use that ingot and not the ingots from the other two Quiddity Seed quests.

Walkthrough & Notes

  1. Run down through the dungeon until you find a Vat of Olthoi Jelly.
  2. Give your Quiddity Ingot to the Vat to receive your rewards.

Dialog

Giving Black Death Catacombs Quiddity Ingot to Vat of Olthoi Jelly

You give Vat of Olthoi Jelly Quiddity Ingot.

You immerse the ingot in the green ichor. The ingot's glow changes from blue to green.

Vat of Olthoi Jelly gives you Purified Quiddity Ingot.

You've earned 6,136,130 experience.
Using Vat of Olthoi Jelly

You choke down some of the ichor in the vat. While it tastes putrid, you can feel that your body is better able to heal itself for now.

Vat of Olthoi Jelly cast Hydra's Head on you.
Giving the Purified Quiddity Ingot to the Gate Stones under Aerbax's Citadel

You give North Gate Stone Purified Quiddity Ingot.

You touch the stone with the Quiddity Ingot and it makes a simple clinking noise. The stone appears to be inactive.
Opening Dialog (retired)

You allow Hoshino Kei to examine your Quiddity Ingot.

Hoshino Kei tells you, "This ingot is attuned to the power of Isparian potential. The being it is most similar to is Queen Elysa. I have heard the story of how a female voice was involved in the quest, though my theory is that it was the voice of the long-dead Olthoi Queen which helped to break the spell."

Hoshino Kei tells you, "It seems that Queen Elysa's fate shall forever be intertwined with the Olthoi. As such, the Olthoi may prove to be a means to purify this ingot. Scouts in the Olthoi North have reported a newly-discovered cavern of Olthoi - there may be a sufficient means of purification there."

Hoshino Kei tells you, "This cavern is not located in a dangerous place. I would advise seeking a vassal, perhaps, who might be willing to perform this task for you."
Showing Purified Black Death Catacombs Quiddity Ingot to Hoshino Kei (retired)

You allow Hoshino Kei to examine your Purified Quiddity Ingot.

Hoshino Kei tells you, "This ingot is attuned to the power of Isparian potential, but it has been purified already. You need not do anything else with this ingot, except wait for an opportunity for it to be used."
