Overview

"A request to all Virindi sympathetic to Aerbax's cause. We would aquire a source of power from beneath the black plains the humans call the Direlands. This power source would be a significant benefit to our affairs." -Dark Monolith Caverns Portal Gem

• This quest requires the Dark Monolith Caverns Portal Gem to begin. This item can be found on both high level Virindi and Raven Hand humans.

Walkthrough & Notes

1. Use the portal gem to open a portal to the Dark Monolith Caverns.
2. Split into two groups. The group going south will encounter large groups of Shadows and Virindi. The group going east will encounter large groups of Raven Hand cultists.
3. Have both groups progress to through the dungeon. Each group will come to a room with several large hostile crystals and a lever. The lever opens the door on the other wing of the dungeon. Pull both levels.
4. The groups will be re-united at this point. Destroy a group of Slithis. You will come to another large room full of more hostile crystals. Destroy these then one of the destructible doors.
5. Progress to the final chamber. Destroy the Guardian of the Monolith.
6. Loot the Title Token: Guardian of the Dark.
7. Use the Dark Monolith located on the platform in the center of the room to obtain the hookable version of the Dark Monolith.
8. Bring the title token to Ulgrim the Unpleasant to be rewarded with the title reward.
9. Optional: If you don't want the Dark Monolith, you can give it to Ulgrim for experience.

You give Ulgrim the Unpleasant Title Token: Guardian of the Dark.

Ulgrim the Unpleasant tells you, "You found this in the same place you found the Dark Monolith? Here, you should have a new title."

Update History

Shining Runes and Shadowed Hands Quest introduced. Learning From Experience XP reward increased from 5,000,000 to 7,500,000. The Quest for Freedom Repeat timer changed from 27 days to 20 hours.
