Walkthrough & Notes

1. Laedron will give you A Field Guide to Tainted Nodes.
2. Kill corrupted creatures near any of the six Tainted Nodes and loot Blighted Mana Crystals.
   1. Blighted Sotiris Hollow Minions near the A'mun Node Pyramid at 38.2S, 12.0E
   2. Blighted Dire Ursuins near the Linvak Node Pyramid at 64.8S, 59.3E
   3. Blighted Hoary Armoredillo near the Halaetan Node Pyramid at 93.8N, 67.4W
   4. Blighted Oak Golems near the Esper Node Pyramid at 62.0N, 18.0E
   5. Blighted Pyreal Golems near the Aerlinthe Node Pyramid at 84.1N, 44.1E
   6. Blighted Bane Grievvers near the Obsidian Node Pyramid at 68.0S, 62.2W
3. When you have 10 crystals, give them to the Node Golem found at the Node Pyramid to receive your rewards.

Laedron the Geomancer tells you, "Greetings! Are you here to help reclaim the land's ley lines from the corruption of T'thuun? At the behest of our noble Queen Elysa, the mage Asheron has raised six pyramids over the most tainted ley nodes in Dereth, the sites most under the grip of the wicked creature T'thuun. These pyramids must be powered! Certain creatures found in the vicinity of those nodes sometimes bear tiny crystals of concentrated, tainted mana."

Laedron the Geomancer tells you, "Bring these crystals to each of the pyramids! Once a pyramid has been sufficiently stoked by brave Derethians such as yourself, all that will be required to defeat T'thuun's power at that site is to destroy the guardian that T'thuun has stationed there... I have written a book that explains all this. I'll give you one now..."

Halaetan Node Golem

Halaetan Node Golem tells you, "The Master keeps me here to keep the node pure. I am the watcher against the blight of T'thuun. I guard the node of the Halaetan Islands. I require Blighted Mana Crystals to maintain function. If you supply such crystals to me or my fellows at the other nodes of Dereth, you will be recognized and rewarded."

Esper Node Golem

Opening Dialog

Esper Node Golem tells you, "The Master keeps me here to keep the node pure. I am the watcher against the blight of T'thuun. I guard the node of Mount Esper. I require Blighted Mana Crystals to maintain function. If you supply such crystals to me or my fellows at the other nodes of Dereth, you will be recognized and rewarded."

Handing in Crystal (1-9)

You give Esper Node Golem Blighted Mana Crystal.

Esper Node Golem tells you, "On behalf of my Master, Lord Asheron, I thank you for the contribution of the Blight Crystal. I will, through my master's power, reward you with practical knowledge for every tenth crystal you give to me or to my servitor brethren at the six imperiled nodes of Dereth."

Handing in Crystal (10)

You give Esper Node Golem Blighted Mana Crystal.

Esper Node Golem tells you, "You have supplied ten Blighted Crystals to myself and my servitor brethren of Dereth's six imperiled nodes."

Esper Node Golem tells you, "The Master has decreed that you should be rewarded for your logistical support of our node-cleansing facility. I have been authorized to tell you that your contributions make the defeat of the demon T'thuun possible, and you have the thanks of Lord Asheron and all benevolent folk of Dereth."

Speaking to before timer expires

Esper Node Golem tells you, "You have been rewarded according to the Master's dictates for your logistical support of the node cleansing network. I am not permitted to reward you further until more time has passed."

Blighted Mana Crystal

You allow Laedron the Geomancer to examine your Blighted Mana Crystal.

Laedron the Geomancer tells you, "Yes, this is exactly the kind of crystal we need to feed into the six pyramids, as detailed in my book. But this does no good to me. I'm glad you have it, make no mistake. Just take it to a pyramid and make use of it there. Have you seen the book I wrote on it? If you ask nicely, I may give you one."

Giving 10 Blighted Crystals to Halaetan Node Golem

Halaetan Node Golem tells you, "You have supplied ten Blighted Crystals to myself and my servitor brethren of Dereth's six imperiled nodes. Speak to me again to receive your reward of practical knowledge, as provided by my master Lord Asheron"

Shattered Lines Quest introduced. Reclamation Drop rate for Blighted Mana Crystals increased to 100%. The Quest for Freedom Repeat timer changed from ?? to 20 hours.

Trivia

When first introduced, this was a server wide gathering quest that required the help of everyone to find mana crystals that aid six pyramids raised by Asheron himself. When complete, a minion of T'thuun that guards each node will be exposed.
