| Question: | Does anything other than your cooking skill affect whether you will damage your armor when attempting to dye it? I have experimented with differing assessment skills, item values, and AL. So far, I haven't seen that anything other than your cooking skill makes a difference. Part of the problem is that it's hard to get enough dye for a large enough data set. |

| Answer: | Dyeing an item is based soley on your cooking skill. That said, you don't need a high skill if you're willing to take a chance on the color of your armor at the expense of the AL. |
